A tree came down hard on this Round Rock roof and took out more than just shingles. The impact ripped shingles loose, knocked the weatherhead out of position, and left the roof deck exposed. That kind of damage doesn't wait - every hour without a proper fix is an open invitation for water to get in.
We got out there fast. First thing was clearing all the debris so we could get a clear picture of exactly what the tree had done. That step matters more than people realize. You can't do a proper inspection through a pile of branches, and you don't want to miss anything that could cause problems later.
Once the debris was cleared, we did a full inspection of the shingle field. The damaged sections were marked, pulled, and replaced with matching laminated shingles. Laminated shingles handle impact and weather better than basic three-tab, so they're our go-to for repairs like this. We also secured the weatherhead, which had taken a direct hit from the falling limbs.
What a lot of homeowners don't think about after a storm is that the visible damage is rarely the whole story. That's why our inspection process covers the full roof - not just the obvious spots. A few missing shingles can look minor on the surface but leave the underlayment exposed in ways that cause real water damage over time.
The end result is a roof that's tight, clean, and matched up properly. If a tree has come down on your roof, or you've had any storm damage and aren't sure what's going on up there, don't sit on it. A free inspection is the right first call.
